Family Lawyer
As the middle child with all brothers, the art of advocacy has always come naturally to me! My initial negotiations at the breakfast table advocating for the sibling who was entitled to the front seat on the drive to school, was quickly followed by my mum saying I’d make a great lawyer one day!
I was always intrigued by the world of law and inspired by my Aunty, who was/is a lawyer. So, when I graduated from A.B Paterson College, I decided to follow in my aunt’s footsteps and enrol in a Bachelor of Laws/ Bachelor of Arts double degree at Griffith University. My arts degree allowed me to pursue my love for journalism and my law degree provided the platform to refine my breakfast table advocacy skills!
During my time at university, I enrolled in several family law intensive courses and quickly found my calling. Throughout my studies, I volunteered at the Caxton and Robina community legal centre and was fortunate enough to gain practical work experience at a leading Gold Coast firm.
Since my admission as a solicitor in 2021, I have practiced exclusively in family law and am now privileged to be a part of the BGM team. As a family lawyer, I understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach and the process can be undeniably challenging.
My goal is to assist clients in navigating through the complex issues that may arise post separation and reach a cost-effective resolution so that they can move forward with their lives.
My empathy allows me to dig deeper than just the legal issue and I strive to help clients through this difficult period by considering the emotional and relational aspects of their matter.
In my spare time, I enjoy snowboarding and hanging out with my friends and family (on the mountain and the beach)!
