Olivia appeared in the 2019 and 2022 Doyle’s Guide listing as a Queensland Family Law ‘Rising Star,’ having worked exclusively in family law since 2014.
Olivia graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University in 2014 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia the following year. In 2017, Olivia completed a Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) with the College of Law. She completed, as part of her Masters Degree, a research paper on ‘pre-nuptial’ style financial agreements. In recognition of her achievements throughout her post-graduate studies, Olivia was admitted as a Graduate Fellow of the College of Law in May 2018.
Olivia received her Family Law Specialist Accreditation from the Queensland Law Society in 2021.
Olivia has developed a keen interest in property/financial or ‘left of field’ family law issues, particularly those involving financial agreements, child support or parentage issues. She believes there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to resolving family law matters – as a result, she is skilled in identifying the needs of each individual client and tailoring her approach accordingly.

My name is Olivia Jennar-Bryant. I am a family lawyer here at BGM. I’ve been working in family law for just over five years now.
I guess as a family lawyer, I’m always striving to be approachable for my clients. I want my clients to feel that they can ask the same question 10 times, and I will still take the time to sit down with them, explain their position, their options, and my advice to make sure that they fully understand it.
I think in family law you have the opportunity to build long-term, professional relationships with clients. Those matters that do go on for longer than they probably should, you’re there in their lives.
I guess I’ve always seen family law as being a rewarding career path. You do tend to meet people at some of their lowest points in their life. You become that friendly face in the dark and the voice of reason. And you can effectively guide them through that difficult process until they reach the other side.
