JUSTINE CIROCCO
New Client Liaison
New Client Liaison
I graduated from James Cook University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Law and Science and became one of the youngest to achieve accreditation in Family Law.
My decision to pursue this path was shaped by growing up in an era when societal expectations often nudged women toward this field of law. However, it wasn’t just societal norms that drew me in, it was the deeply personal and impactful nature of the work. My first boss even mistook my role for social work, which speaks to the emotional depth Family Law often entails.
My approach to working with clients is rooted in honesty. I believe in telling it like it is - offering practical, candid advice. I give my clients options and make sure they’re fully prepared for what lies ahead. For me, it’s important to build trust and connect with clients on a personal level. It’s a privilege to be part of their lives, offering guidance during their most challenging times and helping them through the legal process with compassion and clarity.
After starting a family, my career shifted to risk and compliance, where I worked at a specialist school for disengaged students. It was there that I saw firsthand the ripple effects of family law, particularly on children from broken families. These experiences deepened my resolve to improve outcomes for adults in similar situations, and now I aim to share that knowledge with my clients. I help them understand not just the legalities, but also how to communicate with their children during these difficult times.
In my current role as a New Client Liaison, I’ve discovered the perfect fit that I didn’t even know existed. This position combines my passion for helping as many people as possible with the opportunity to work with an inspiring, invigorated, and kind team. I know my clients will always receive the best outcome because I truly believe in the values we uphold.
Outside of work, volunteering is something I deeply believe in, it’s about giving people a start, a conversation, and a direction they might not have had otherwise. I’ve volunteered with community legal services and served as the president of the P&F at Somerset College.
I’m also a proud footy fan, an avid reader, and founder of a book club that has been running for over 20 years. Family is incredibly important to me, and I cherish spending time with my husband and our kids, who always keep me on my toes!
